MIDIH will join the DEI stakeholder’s forum, November 13-15th

19-09-2019

The Stakeholder Forum is a public and free event organised on a yearly basis by the European Commission and a Member State within the context of the Digitising European Industry initiative (DEI). It will take place from the afternoon of 13 November 2019 to midday of 15 November 2019 at IFEMA Madrid, just a few metro stops from the airport. This year’s edition is particularly relevant, both for Europe's industrial policy and activities developed in MIDIH project. On the technology side, Artificial Intelligence applications are quickly becoming a core element of many industrial environments, while the upcoming Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programmes will strongly support investments for the development and widespread deployment of digital technologies.

The focus of the 2019 DEI Stakeholder Forum will be on some specific topics very closely related to the MIDIH project:

• Digital Innovation Hubs: success stories from the network

• Artificial Intelligence in Digital Innovation Hubs

• Digital Innovation Hubs in the Digital Europe Programme

• Testing facilities for AI-powered industrial applications in the DE Programme Overall, the European policies for Digital Innovation Hubs, Artificial Intelligence and industrial partnerships beyond 2020 will be discussed, including the relevant funding instruments and opportunities. All the different actors involved in the digital value chain are invited to participate, including representatives from Member States and regions, national initiatives for digitalisation, industry, SMEs, academia, Digital Innovation Hubs and research and technology centres.

They will have an excellent opportunity to share experiences, exchange best practices and discuss the future of EU digital industrial policy.
